Bearded vulture conservation day in Liébana and Picos de Europa

Description of the Experience: A day to explore the natural spaces of Picos de Europa and Liébana through the conservation and recovery project of the bearded vulture.

We will accompany the specialists from the Bearded Vulture Conservation Foundation (FQC) in their monitoring work of this vulture, where they will share the success story of its reintroduction in the Cantabrian Mountain Range.

To complete the day, we will engage in a bird-watching activity in the bearded vulture’s domain, discovering the great diversity of the Liébana region.

Included Services:
  • Activity accompanied by an FQC specialist (2-3 hours).
  • Guided bird-watching route with an expert guide (2-3 hours).
  • Loan of optical equipment and educational materials.
  • Additional transfer service: Transportation to the activity area.
    Minimum 2 people and maximum 8 people.
    Recommended Time of Year: From April to October.
    Participant Adaptation: Participant Adaptation: Suitable for all audiences. Family-friendly (recommended for children over 10 years old), not adapted for physical disabilities.
    Ecotourism Commitment: Carbon offsetting. Collaboration with the FQC through bearded vulture sponsorship. Each client can voluntarily contribute part or all of the annual cost of sponsoring an individual. Senda will coordinate the sponsorships with the Foundation and provide updates throughout the year.
