Prat Treasures: The European Pond Turtle

Nature Park of Prat de Cabanes Torreblanca (Castellón)

Experience Description: Participants will be welcomed at the Torreblanca Nature Visitor Center and given a tour of the facilities. A specialist from the Global Nature Foundation will explain the work of the foundation, provide training on turtles, and we will conduct a practical workshop on identifying turtle species. We will then move to the trap area to check, identify, and mark the captured species.

After a lunch with typical local products, the experience will culminate with a guided tour of the Nature Park, covering the five priority habitats.

    Participant Aadaptation: The experience can be adapted for different participants. For people with disabilities, the marking will be done at the Nature Space, and the lagoon will be visited without accessing the trap areas. For schools, one adult is required for every 8 minors.
