The Volcanic Castillejos Volcanoes of La Bienvenida and Sisapo

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Sisapo, a Roman city built on impressive volcanic formations in the 1st century BC. During this activity, you will discover how the buildings adapt to the topography and morphology of Los Castillejos de la Bienvenida, a Natural Monument that has been subtly transformed by the settlers over time.

The volcanic rock, extracted from quarries in the area, was a key resource in the construction of this city, which became the main center of activity in the region. Mining and various agricultural activities that fed the socioeconomic life of the area were centralized here.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe endangered birds in the Alcudia Valley and Sierra Madrona Natural Park, such as the majestic black vulture and the imposing imperial eagle, which adds additional value to this experience.

This activity is designed for all ages and seeks to convey the importance of our geological history through educational dynamics and interactive experiments. Come with your family and we invite you to explore the cultural and natural richness of Sisapo! Don't miss it!
