Why are we the City of Knights? Since when do we eat tortilla? What is the point of so many slopes? Did Betanzos only exist since 800 years ago? Was Fernán Pérez de Andrade really as good as they say?
This is the visit you need to understand the historical evolution of a unique city in Galicia, which combines different elements that will make us travel from modernism to the medieval city, from the fields of its precious wine to the maritime market that was everything and of which we only have the remains left.
Just over an hour and a half walk in which we will try not to climb any slope but we will squeeze thoroughly to know its historic center and the history that hides outside the walls, especially on the banks of the river Mandeo.
