From Casa Rural Astobieta Landetxea, we are committed to the conservation of biodiversity and local development using actions such as: We collaborate with the Lurgaia Foundation through conservation projects: a stewardship agreement of several lands in which we have planted local forests, we are founding members of BaSOS and collaborate in the creation of projects to raise awareness, dissemination and defense of native forests. We are currently developing a nursery of local species. We reuse used cooking oils to make soap that is reused in the lodge. We try to minimize the use of garbage bags and other single-use items. We try to buy products that we do not generate on the farm and have to buy nearby, ecological and in bulk. We compost all organic waste and have a philosophy close to permaculture.

Casa Rural Astobieta Landetxea is a 150 year old traditional Basque farmhouse, recently restored. It is located in the municipality of Ajangiz, 2 kilometers from Gernika, in the countryside, but very close to all the amenities offered by a small town.
The house can be rented as a whole house for 10 people or by rooms. It has 5 spacious rooms, all of them with private bathrooms. There are double rooms, double rooms with twin beds, single rooms with shared bathroom and a single room with private bathroom outside the room.
The facilities of the farmhouse include a living room with fireplace and TV, a living-dining room, central heating, equipped kitchen, barbecue, terrace with hammocks and sun loungers, independent entrance and parking.
Prices include the right to use the kitchen, internet, parking, firewood and VAT.
Pets are allowed when the house is fully rented.
Casa Rural Astobieta Landetxea is surrounded by 10,000 m2 of fruit and native trees. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The house is located 12 km from the beach and 30 km from Bilbao.
Activities in the area
The area offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy outdoors. You can go hiking and cycling, visit the Urdaibai Natural Park, practice water sports on the beach or visit the nearby towns and cities.
Booking conditions
At the time of booking, the deposit must be paid in advance.
If the reservation is cancelled with 31 days, there is a penalty of 5%.
If the reservation is cancelled from 16-30 days, there is a penalty of 50%.
If the reservation is cancelled from 0-15 days, there is a penalty of 100%.
In those cases in which the owner agrees, a change of dates can be negotiated. In no case it will be possible to reduce the number of days of the reservation.
