Through its geological formations you will learn how the landscape you are seeing has been formed and by walking through it you will discover the geological processes that explain why there are mountains and valleys, ravines and mallos, cliffs and cliffs? Throughout the park you will meet the oldest inhabitants of this land, some very special trees, some of them included in the catalog of unique trees of Aragon. Our nature observation routes are the best option.

In the sky, birdwatchers can delight in the majestic presence of rocky species such as the griffon vulture, the bearded vulture, the peregrine falcon, the Egyptian vulture, the red kite and the wallcreeper. With the help of binoculars and our ornithological routes, it is possible to watch these fascinating birds as they cross the steep walls of the Sierra de Guara.

In Guara Somontano, prehistoric art offers us a captivating link with the past. Paleolithic Art, from 40,000 to 10,000 BC, reveals deep engravings of horses, hands and symbols in the Fuente del Trucho Cave, while Levantine Art, between 8,000 and 3,000 BC, presents paintings in sunny shelters, showing deer and dynamic human figures in sites such as Arpán, Muriecho, Chimiachas and Regacens. These artistic manifestations are witnesses of the millenary human presence in the Sierra y los Cañones de Guara Natural Park.

All this during the day, but when the sun goes down, in the dark, new opportunities open up for the observation of nature, in this case, the sky. Guara Somontano, thanks to its low light pollution and clear skies most of the year, allows you to enjoy the observation of different objects of the cosmos such as constellations, the moon, planets or satellites. In addition, to facilitate these observations have been enabled in different points of cultural interest, a series of observatories equipped with benches and loungers, as well as panels that tell us about the sky in different seasons. In addition, during the summer different nighttime astronomical observations are organized.
