Our ecotourism commitment:

We transmit to our visitors the values of a UNESCO Geopark.

- You will learn about the geological phenomena of the tidal flats and the biodiversity of the area, a unique ecosystem inhabited by more than 250 species

- The activity is based on the interpretation of the natural environment, observing and discovering how the different species live in this complex ecosystem

- We transmit how to conserve and protect the different forms of life with small day-to-day actions.

Looking to the past to interpret the future

There are many ways to visit and learn about a place, a monument, a destination. In our case, experience has shown us over the years that the format of interpreted guided tours is the most appropriate format to show visitors what a geopark is, and of course, the most remarkable characteristics of our Geopark.

These are visits whose design and discourse has been developed by the Geopark, which are constantly evaluated, updated and improved, and which are offered to the visitor by a professional expert guide. With a discourse that disseminates the existing scientific knowledge in a pleasant and simple way, guided by well-trained professionals, visitors not only look and take pictures, but we awaken their curiosity and connect them with the territory.

We are convinced that the best and quickest way to get to know and understand everything that surrounds the Geopark, especially its geological relevance, are the interpreted guided tours that we offer directly.

In any case, it should be noted that not all the guided tours of the Geopark are about geology or geotourism, but we are also committed to other types of visits more oriented to the general public: cultural, gastronomic, family-oriented, etc. From the Geopark we want you to be curious about the formation of the flysch and the biodiversity of the abrasion platform, but we consider equally important that the visitor knows the incredible history of the Arrietakua palace in Mutriku or the ancestral tradition of making talos with the ground corn in the mills of Lastur. Finally, in order to plan your trip to the Geopark and so that you do not run out of places at the last minute, we always recommend booking our guided tours in advance, which can also be conveniently booked online through our website.
