Our ecotourism commitment:

From our company we feel grateful and indebted to these mountains that have seen us born, therefore and to somehow return what they have given us so much, from Pletas y Camins we organize and promote various actions aimed at showing this commitment we have acquired with our environment. From our company, we collaborate with different associations dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the Chistabina culture, an ancient culture that is the basis of all our activities and experiences. All our activities are carried out with the utmost respect for the ecosystem that surrounds us, valuing both its natural and cultural resources and raising awareness about the care of this. At the same time, we carry out different actions such as garbage collection campaigns in order to maintain and restore natural areas of our environment, or we give life to old roads already lost in oblivion, restoring them and investigating their past full of stories.

Echoes of a past

In this experience, you will know one of the most spectacular and less known places in the Pyrenees; Las Bordas de Viadós, a place loved and respected by the inhabitants of these mountains, where man and nature have been able to live in harmony despite how rough life could be in these mountains.

During the whole route we will be under the watchful eye of one of the most impressive geological jewels that can be seen throughout our geography; the Posets or Lardana in Chistabino, our mother tongue.

The experience is a circular route north of the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees Geopark, in the westernmost part of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, in one of the least known and less crowded valleys of the Pyrenees; the Bal de Chistau.

Through this route we will know the geology, flora and fauna typical of this territory, but also we will enter into the typical pastoral culture of this area of the Pyrenees where since time immemorial, the first inhabitants of these mountains already knew how to work these untamed lands and where even today you can see all his legacy.

As a finale, we will visit a borda which is a typical pastoral construction and maintains its original structure, where we can see firsthand how life was here.
