Our ecotourism commitment:

At A Artesa da Moza Crecha Restaurant, we are committed to biodiversity conservation, the use of local products, and the development of businesses within the Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve.

- We have been collaborating with the Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve since 2019, in schools throughout the territory, under the "Educating in the Biosphere" program, promoting healthy habits among the educational community, local and seasonal products, highlighting the work of our producers, the importance of consuming local and Km0 products, as well as the functions of the Biosphere Reserve as a territorial project and laboratory of sustainable development.

- We work and create synergies with other certified companies of the brand through Cultural Workshops and the "Agri-food Route," an ecotourism experience that consists of visiting agri-food companies of the brand and ends with the tasting of a Biosphere menu in our restaurant.

- We participate in two projects on the study of carbon footprint reduction in our establishment and attend Gastronomic Congresses throughout Spain.

- We have published two recipe books and videos to promote local products in collaboration with the Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve: "Recipes from the Biosphere" and "Guide to Agri-food Products of Excellence."

- We offer tasting menus and Biosphere menus with certified products from producers adhered to the Mariñas Coruñesas brand to reduce food waste.

- We have installed a composter in our kitchen so that vegetable organic waste is collected by brand producers and used as compost once separated (vegetables, coffee grounds, and eggshells).

- We reuse bread leftovers to feed animals and/or prepare some dishes from the tasting menu, bones, seafood shells, fish and vegetable scraps to prepare broths and recipe bases.

- We use used oil to produce biodiesel collected by a specialized and authorized company and use high-efficiency energy refrigerators.

Innovation in tradition

In the restaurant A Artesa da Moza Crecha run by Lolo Mosteiro and Paula Martinez, under the premise of "Innovation in Tradition", we fuse traditional Galician cuisine with touches of signature cuisine.

It stands out for the use of local products, including vegetables, meat and fish from the Biosphere Reserve Mariñas Coruñesas and Terras do Mandeo, as well as wines of the IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) "Viño da Terra de Betanzos".

We have three areas in the same place: a restaurant with capacity for 25-30 people to enjoy tasting menus, a private dining room for intimate celebrations with capacity for 15-20 people and a covered patio with two tables and views of the Mandeo River in the middle of the river promenade.
