Simply irresistible, are you going to miss it?

Characterized by its simplicity, the cuisine of Las Batuecas- Sierra de Francia is of humble origin based on stews and roasts, always accompanied by sausages, wine and sweets. Traditional dishes and specialties have few ingredients, but full of flavors and nuances.

 

 

 

- Hornazo: Empanada stuffed inside with boiled egg, chorizo and pork loin.

 

 

 

- Patatas meneás: Cooked mashed potatoes seasoned with a garlic and paprika sauce accompanied by fried bacon.

 

 

 

- Tostón or roast suckling pig.

 

 

 

- Lemon and orange serrana: Salad of sweet and sour and salty flavors. It is a dish made with a lemon and one or two oranges very well peeled and cut in segments or slices. Boiled egg and chorizo, cut in slices. It is dressed with salt, oil and vinegar, sautéed garlic and parsley. The orange salad is similar to the lemon salad, except that the lemon is eliminated because of its acidity.

 

 

 

- Zorongollo: Salad of peppers that is dressed with salt, olive oil, vinegar and chopped garlic.
