Our ecotourism commitment:

At Ecofinca Tacande, our experience is designed to comply with the principles of true ecotourism, linked to La Palma as a World Biosphere Reserve and to the traditional agricultural landscape of El Paso:

- Interpretation and connection with the territory: During the visit, we explain how organic farming and small-scale livestock farming help to conserve local biodiversity, volcanic soil, and the traditional agricultural landscape of La Palma. Visitors understand the relationship between agriculture, volcanoes, and sustainability.

- Minimization of impact and regenerative practices: All activities are carried out according to low-impact criteria, with responsible use of water, composting, regenerative soil management, and animal welfare. We explain how these practices contribute to the recovery of ecosystems and the mitigation of climate change.

- Contribution to the rural economy and local development: The products tasted by visitors come from our farm or from nearby producers, promoting the circular economy, local consumption, and the retention of the rural population.

- Seasonality and small groups: The experience is offered year-round to small groups, ensuring a peaceful, high-quality visit without crowds and promoting an authentic connection between people, nature, and local culture.

Connect with the earth through an authentic experience.

At Ecofinca Tacande, we invite you to discover an authentic ecotourism experience in the heart of El Paso, where the agricultural landscape and volcanic terrain come together to tell the living history of La Palma. During this activity, you will walk through a real organic farm, learn about regenerative agriculture, soil care, sustainable water management, and animal welfare, and discover how these elements form an essential part of La Palma's cultural identity.

The visit begins with a warm and heartfelt welcome. Visitors are introduced to the concept of "living earth": fertile volcanic soils, natural processes, agricultural biodiversity, and the fundamental role that traditional agriculture plays in conserving the landscape. We then tour the orchards, compost areas, protea plantation, and regenerative management areas, where we explain how we produce sustainably and how these systems directly contribute to the balance of the World Biosphere Reserve.

The experience includes interaction with some of the farm's animals. The Majorera donkeys—all rescued—are the stars of the tour, along with birds, horses, and ducks. This interaction, highly valued by families and ecotourists, is always carried out with respect for animal welfare.

We finish with an agroecological tasting that varies according to the season: fresh fruit, homemade preserves, mojo sauces, traditional breads, Palmero cheeses, and local products. It is a time to savor the island from its roots, to talk, and to understand the importance of local consumption in keeping the agricultural culture of La Palma alive.

Ecofinca Tacande is a peaceful, intimate, and educational experience that combines nature, tradition, sustainability, and local cuisine. It is a place to connect with the land, understand the landscape, and experience the island from within.
