Traditional Canarian cuisine with a creative twist
We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
At El Altillo Gastrobar, we are committed to preserving biodiversity and promoting local development. Here are some of our activities:
- We participate in municipal markets to promote the consumption of local and organic products through talks and show cooking events.
- We work hand in hand with the germobanco to try to conserve native varieties that are now almost obsolete in order to promote agriculture and conservation.
- We respect closed seasons and minimum sizes for fish and shellfish to conserve biodiversity.
- We use energy from renewable sources, as our supplier only uses green energy and we also belong to a local energy cooperative (Energia Bonita) which supplies us with energy from the photovoltaic plant installed in our municipality.
- We support local and small-scale suppliers of products and services, such as winegrowers, farmers, fishermen, and ranchers, creating synergies that allow them to prosper in their small businesses and contribute significantly to the local economy. It should also be added that our menu features dishes with a clear Canarian identity in an effort to preserve our local identity and culture.
