Our ecotourism commitment:

At La Casa del Volcán, we are committed to preserving agricultural biodiversity and promoting local development in Fuencaliente de La Palma.

We cook among the vineyards and lava fields of the San Antonio Volcano, offering a gastronomic experience that highlights the island's wine-growing identity and its wines with La Palma Designation of Origin.

1. Our own wine and traditional production
We produce our dry white wine "lacasadelvolcan.es" using traditional methods with the Bujariego/Vijariego white variety, grown in the vicinity of the winery at an altitude of between 500 and 650 meters, with minimal intervention.

We work the vines in practically organic conditions, using ecological fungicides and no insecticides, which promotes the health of the soil, the vines, and the associated fauna.

The volcanic environment and the vineyards that surround us form a unique agricultural landscape, which we help to preserve through our wine-growing activity.

2. A wine list focused on wines from La Palma and the cultural landscape
Our wine list consists exclusively of wines from the La Palma Designation of Origin, guaranteeing that the grapes come from vineyards on the island that sustain a unique landscape, history, and wine culture.

We serve a wide range of wines from La Palma by the glass, allowing for personalized pairings that introduce visitors to the diversity of varieties and areas of the island while directly supporting local wineries.

3. Local cuisine and healthy options
We offer European and Spanish cuisine with strong Canarian roots, incorporating products from the volcanic environment and reinterpreted traditional recipes, which helps to keep local gastronomy alive.

We offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, promoting a more conscious and accessible diet for all types of people who visit the volcano's natural space.

We use local varieties of pepper for the mojo sauce and traditional varieties of sweet potatoes grown on the farm in an environmentally friendly way.

4. Local development linked to the protected area
Our location at the entrance to the San Antonio Volcano makes a visit a complete journey through the protected landscape of Fuencaliente, integrating food, wine culture, and volcanic geology.

By working with winegrowers and wineries in the region and attracting visitors to the municipality throughout the year, we contribute to maintaining the local economic fabric and ensuring that new generations remain linked to traditional viticulture.
