PATH OF THE FOUNTAIN OF THE PISADERA

The trail begins in the parking lot next to the Casa del Parque and crosses a landscaped area with plant species of the Natural Park. Then, a wooden footbridge crosses the river Riaza, showing the cut of the Towers, where you can see griffon vultures. Following the path delimited with wooden curbs, you pass by a centenary specimen of juniper and the Pisadera fountain. The recreational area has tables, benches, a drinking fountain, a playground and a geriatric home. The return follows the river bank until reaching the starting point.

PATH OF CERRO EL ALTO

Starting from Valdevacas de Montejo, we ascend to the Cerro El Alto hill from the Calle de la Fuente, passing by the village church. From the top, we enjoy exceptional views of the surroundings, such as the Sierra de Pradales and the valley of the Riaza River. At the viewpoint, there are interpretive panels and benches to rest. In addition, we can explore Valdevacas de Montejo, a mountain village with traditional architecture, including a baroque church dedicated to San Cristobal and other buildings that recall the traditional trades and life in the area.

PATH BETWEEN BRIDGES

Leaving Montejo de la Vega de la Serrezuela, we follow a wide path from the small square of the Puente Chico towards the Calle de la Cruz, passing by the cemetery and a parking lot. On the way, we see a juniper tree and irrigated and dry crops. The boundaries of the farms have fruit trees. We cross a new bridge over the Riaza River and continue to the left towards Peña Portillo, where we can see griffon vultures and orange tones in the limestone cliffs. To return, we cross a wooden bridge over the river and turn left to return to Montejo de la Vega.

PATH OF THE TENADAS OF VALDEVACAS

Leaving Valdevacas de Montejo, we take the road to the Convent of Casuar from Fuente Street and find a parking lot on the right after 650 meters. The path crosses farmland and crosses a stream lined with poplars, willows, reeds and wild rose bushes. We see the remains of stone walls and junipers as we ascend. Along the way, we find holm oaks, important for the local fauna. We arrive at some interpretive panels on cattle trails and tenadas, shepherds' constructions used to shelter livestock. We pass the Collado de Cabeza Grande, where there is a bench to rest and enjoy the scenery. We cross two small watercourses before reaching our starting point.

LINARES DEL ARROYO RESERVOIR TRAIL
It starts in Maderuelo, in the Natural Park Hoces del río Riaza. From Maderuelo, we take the road to Campo de San Pedro and turn right at the bus stop onto the paved road to the parking lot. We cross the Arroyo de San Andrés and follow the path to the Mirador de La Rivilla, where we can enjoy views of the Linares reservoir and its surroundings. The first stretch is accessible for people with reduced mobility. We then continue along the reservoir for a kilometer before returning to Maderuelo, passing through farmland. In Maderuelo, we can explore its medieval streets and visit the churches of San Miguel and Santa María del Castillo, as well as the Ermita de la Veracruz. In addition, there is a longer variant of about 10 km that continues along the reservoir and then returns along a path parallel to the railroad track from the Apeadero de Maderuelo - Linares.

STREET OF THE RIVER

Leaving Montejo de la Vega de la Serrezuela, we go from the small square of the Puente Chico towards the street of the Cross by a wide road that takes us to the cemetery of the town. Further on, we find a parking lot where we leave the vehicle. On the plain of the river Riaza, we see agricultural crops and the river, home of the otter. Following the signs, we ascend the hillside until we reach a panoramic view of the canyon, where we visit the ruins of the convent of San Martín de Casuar. We continue the path leaving the river on the left, entering the canyon with cuts up to 150 meters deep. We pass over a viaduct of the Madrid-Irun railroad line and observe the meanders of the river and the cuts. We arrive at the foot of the dam of the reservoir of Linares del Arroyo before returning by the same way.

PATH OF THE HERMITAGE OF THE CASUAR

Leaving Valdevacas de Montejo, we follow the signs to the beginning of the path, a dirt track between dry crops. We pass by the fountain of La Pililla and a forest of juniper. Then, we ascend and arrive at some tenadas used by the local shepherds. We continue along a descending path, observing the flora of the moor, such as gorse, lavender, thyme and chamois. Afterwards, we take a narrower path and enter a stream, following the milestones until the intersection with the path of the river. We ascend the slope and enjoy a panoramic view of the canyon and an interpretive panel on its formation. Then we descend and visit the ruins of the convent of San Martín de Casuar, declared of Cultural Interest in 1997. Finally, we return to the starting point following a path perpendicular to the river for 4.5 kilometers, with spectacular views of the town of Valdevacas de Montejo.
