Our ecotourism commitment:

Oleoturismo Puerta de las Villas is positioned as an authentic ecotourism activity thanks to the following aspects:

1. Linkage with a Protected Area.

It takes place within the olive groves, in the environment of the Natural Park of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, one of the most important protected natural areas in Spain. This location allows visitors to connect with nature while learning about olive growing.

In addition, information is offered about:
- The importance of traditional olive groves in the conservation of the ecosystem.
- The relationship between olive cultivation and soil protection.
- Sustainable agricultural practices that favor biodiversity.

Minimization of negative impacts.

The activity promotes sustainable practices such as the responsible use of water, waste reduction and the use of environmentally friendly cultivation methods.

It also promotes sustainability and respect for the ecosystem during visits:
- Encouraging the use of sustainable materials, such as recyclable containers at tastings and reusable bottles.
- Taking advantage of olive waste, the stone, for biomass.

3. De-seasonalization.

Oleotourism is not limited to the olive harvesting season, but is offered throughout the year with different approaches. In spring and summer, the olive blossoming is highlighted by showing the production process, while in autumn and winter visitors can experience first-hand the production of olive oil.

4. Contribution to biodiversity conservation and support for local development.

A sustainable production model that favors biodiversity in olive groves and soil protection is promoted. Oleotourism generates local employment and strengthens the rural economy by involving producers, guides... guaranteeing a benefit to the town of Mogón while keeping olive grove traditions alive.

These characteristics make Oleoturismo Puerta de las Villas an experience that not only educates, but also brings real value to the conservation and development of the environment.
