Our ecotourism commitment:

From Urdailife, we provide knowledge about the identity of a people linked to the vicissitudes of the sea. We discover the material heritage but above all, we contribute to the preservation of the intangible heritage. We invite with our guided tour in Bermeo or go deeper into its essence and know calmly and respectfully the Biosphere Reserve in which it is located, Urdaibai. The visitor will not only know Bermeo, but we will open the doors to know the natural and cultural values of the Biosphere Reserve. And last but not least, we will show you the best way to be a true ecotourist.

As a company, we are committed to the conservation of biodiversity and local development, therefore, we carry out the following actions:

- We transmit to our visitors the values of a Biosphere Reserve, and we complement the experience by advising other companies committed to sustainability in the field of natural heritage interpretation.
- We are certified guides in the interpretation of the natural and cultural heritage of Urdaibai by the Association for the Interpretation of Heritage
- We contribute to the local economy by incorporating local services and/or products into our experiences.
- As members of the Lurgaia Foundation we contribute to the reforestation of native trees in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

Follow the footsteps of a saint across the cliffs of Basque Country.

Legend has it that Saint John reached the hermitage of Gaztelugatxe in just three steps from Bermeo.

On this route, we?ll need to take a few more than that. A winding, fairytale-like staircase awaits you ? but that?s the price for unlocking its secrets and enjoying some of the most breathtaking views on the Cantabrian coast.

Gaztelugatxe is not only a legendary spot, but also part of a protected biotope and the gateway to the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

Up for it? Wear something comfy ? this path delivers.

? Meeting point: Gaztelu-Begi bus stop.
