La Molinera Etxea is an absolute gem. The guest house is beautiful and all the rooms are as well. Everything is clean and well thought out. The location is perfectly set between everything you would want to explore in the area. Amaia does a great job of making you feel right at home, and she even spent some time going over the map of the area to show us where to go and what to check out. She offers breakfast in the morning which is definitely not to be missed. We were so happy we found this place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It is a large house with a family atmosphere dating from the seventeenth century. Located in Samaniego, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa and at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. A 10 minute drive from the famous winery Marqués de Riscal and 5 minutes drive from Laguardia, capital of the region and one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. This house offers a unique experience for travelers seeking tranquility, comfort and personalized service.
In 2007 our house was opened after a thorough renovation, since then it has grown a lot in experience and services, becoming a reference in wine tourism in the area. In 2023 the whole house has been renovated with a new decoration project making numerous changes to improve the comfort and stay of each client. Today, thousands of people have visited us, which gives us a great experience and a great desire to continue.
It has 6 rooms and suites with full bathroom and 1 apartment suite that does not lack detail designed to reflect the essence of the environment each space becomes an oasis of serenity and comfort. There is also a cozy living room with fireplace where the electric mill of the 60's that gives its name to the house and a txoko / dining room in the old stables.
It has a pleasant patio-viewpoint with impressive views of the vineyards, and also a Relax Center that offers various types of massages.
Its most popular activity is relaxing massages.
Outside there is free public parking, guaranteeing a carefree experience.
It is located 38 km from Vitoria, 25 km from Logroño, and 100 km from Bilbao and Pamplona.

RECEPTION SCHEDULE:
IT WOULD HELP US A LOT IF YOU INFORM US OF YOUR ARRIVAL TIME in order to organize your welcome, please. This is a Rural House managed directly by its owners on a full time basis and we make family and work life compatible. We do not have 24 hour reception service.
- Check-in hours: 15:30h - 18:30h
- Departure timetable: 8:00h - 12:00h
IT IS MANDATORY TO CONTACT THE OWNER 15 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVAL TO ARRANGE THE PICK UP OF THE KEYS PLEASE. It is not a Hotel, it is a Rural House.
We offer luggage storage (free of charge) in case you wish to leave your luggage before check-in time or until later than check-out time. Always under availability.
FORM OF PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION OF THE RESERVATION:
There is no prepayment. It will be paid directly at the house upon arrival. It will be paid in CASH at the establishment. Also the added services and supplements will be paid at the Casa Rural.
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to be provided with an alternative, that the price never exceeds your original reservation, cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any prepayment.
CHILDREN:
All children ARE WELCOME to our home.
Children do not sleep in beds with parents:
< 2 years old can stay in cribs free of charge.
> 2 years old in extra beds.
Always under previous request of availability.
PARKING:
You can always park your vehicle a few steps from the house in a FREE PUBLIC PARKING.
SMOKING:
It is TOTALLY FORBIDDEN to smoke in the rooms and in the common areas. A penalty of between 200? and 500? will have to be paid if this happens, to cover the aggravations derived from this action, in cleaning and disinfection before future guests. However, we have an OUTDOOR PATIO available for smokers.
DAMAGES:
We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damages incurred to your room or the house during your stay (including cleaning specialists if necessary) or for any items missing when you have left. They must be replaced or you will be required to pay whatever amount is deemed appropriate for their replacement or repair.
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
In the event of the cancellation of a Reservation, a number of cancellation charges will apply depending on how far in advance the reservation is cancelled. All the expenses derived from the cancellation will be charged to the client. The percentages will be applied on the total amount of the Reservation. The intervals and percentages of penalties applied are as follows:
Days in advance: Penalty percentage:
From 0 to 7 days 100%.
From 8 to 15 days 75%.
From 16 to 30 days 50%
From 31 days and over 15%.
COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS:
We take guest satisfaction very seriously. Any complaints or comments regarding a stay with us should be made in the first instance to the owners of the gite at the time of your stay so that we can attempt to resolve them immediately. Problems that cannot be resolved on the spot should be notified by email to reservas@lamolineraetxea.com.
