In 2013 the province of Avila was designated Starlight Tourist Destination for the Sierra de Gredos and in 2020 the Regional Park of Gredos was certified as a Starlight Reserve, becoming the first in Castilla y León to achieve it. A Starlight Reserve is a protected natural area where a commitment is made to defend the quality of the night sky and access to starlight. Consequently, the Sierra de Gredos has a network of star viewpoints or observation points to contemplate the stars, both on the north and south sides, under the project called "Dark Sky". There are two stellar viewpoints in the Iruelas Valley: the Tiemblo and Navaluenga stellar viewpoints.

In addition, there are five observatories for photographic hides and wildlife watching: Two in Las Cruceras (El Barraco), and three in San Juan de la Nava. The Iruelas Valley has three refuges.
