Our ecotourism commitment:

In the nature classroom we are committed to disseminating the ecological values of the Sierra Nevada, the importance of these values for the maintenance of ecosystems and life, as well as for the people around them.

Through different activities and innovative educational dynamics we generate a close and friendly atmosphere that invites participation, cooperation, discovery and amazement, the desire to learn more and connect with the wonderful natural universe.

Art, science, literature, theater... are tools that we use to understand the complexity of the links generated between nature and society, highlighting that we live on a planet with limits, that we are eco-dependent and interdependent beings, that life on earth is sustained through fragile balances and that people play an essential role in that plot.

Through interpreted itineraries, workshops, reforestations, courses, conferences, development of publications of environmental interest, we offer different support resources for the Educational Community, since we adapt to the learning situations, to the key competences, to the basic knowledge that is being developed in the different educational levels according to the new law of education.

We are committed to the creation of stable employment in the nearby rural environment, and we collaborate with the different municipalities and institutions so that the nature classroom is a meeting point, a place for coexistence, training and exchange of experiences.

We open our doors for children and young people, for adults and seniors, for teaching and environmental professionals, for families, municipalities, companies, associations, as long as they are groups and organized.

The poplar groves of the Dílar River and the poetry of Federico García Lorca

In the nature classroom, we will be introduced into the ecosystem of the poplar groves, through words, stories, simulations, direct contact (sounds, smells, colors, and other perceptions) to be aware of the links and relationships that keep it in balance, feeling part of that framework as people: we are biodiversity and we are part of nature.

In the poplar groves we will carry out activities related to silence, and the connection with the environment through all the senses, with games and dynamics. We will read selected poems by Federico García Lorca, so that poetry opens our senses even more and helps us to connect with nature.
Each person will find their ideal place in the poplar groves to bring out the sensitivity within them, creating a poem that they can record on their cell phone, write it, draw it, tell it, stage it...).

Depending on the diversity of people attending, the contents and activities will be adapted in form and substance.
