A multitude of corners in the Natural Area of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara are unique places for observing the sky.
Through the Starlight Foundation, and with the accreditation of the Junta de Castilla La Mancha, our "Cielos de Guadalajara", have been declared in January 2022 "Starlight Tourist Destination", a seal that only have those places in the world where it is possible to observe the sky in all its grandeur. The "Cielos de Guadalajara Starlight Reserve" extends from the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara to the Señorío de Molina-Alto Tajo, covering a total of 161 municipalities. These towns will have a total of 49 astronomical viewpoints located within the Guadalajara Skies Starlight Reserve, of which 20 will be located in the Sierra Norte Natural Park, in strategic places from where we will enjoy a privileged night sky.
In the Starlight Guadalajara Skies Reserve we can enjoy clean and clear skies that offer the unique experience of contemplating the stars, constellations, nebulae, galaxies, planets, stardust regions, star clusters, globular clusters in places of singular beauty, and with a surprising natural and cultural heritage.
