Within the Villuercas Ibores Jara Geopark there are many corners, routes, viewpoints, geosites that are worth knowing.
Among these is the geosite of the Chorrera de Calabazas where there are a handful of centenary chestnut trees of imposing size. The Chestnut trees of Calabazas is a hiking route that starts in the town of Castañar de Ibor, simple, circular, just 12.5 kms but that will surprise you. As always when talking about chestnut trees, it is advisable to do it in autumn.
