Explore vineyards and savor Basque tradition

Txakoli is the traditional Basque wine made from white grapes, produced in different areas of the Basque Coast and the interior of Alava under three Denominations of Origin. It stands out for its freshness and light acidity on the palate.

There is no better way to delve into the world of txakoli than walking through the vineyards along the coast, taking advantage of the proximity to Pagoeta and thus learning all the secrets of its production process.

 

In Aia, a town close to Pagoeta Natural Park, the doors are open to get to know wineries, vineyards and their daily activity.

 

Their work and history will be shown during the visit to some of the family wineries that are part of the C.R.D.O. of Getaria txakoli. Some of these experiences offer a tasting of pintxos and txakoli.
