The Iruelas Valley has a network of approved and marked trails, ideal for hiking, wildlife observation and enjoyment of nature. Here is an updated list
1. Accessible path of the Enebral
- Type: Circular
- Distance: 500 m
- Difficulty: Low
- Key points: Small circular route among junipers from where you can see the mountains and forests of the Iruelas Valley and the reservoir of El Burguillo.
- Start: next to the Interpretation Center "Casa del Parque".
Lancha de las Víboras Trail
- Type: Circular
- Distance: 4 km
- Difficulty: Low
- Key points: Bird observatory, vegetation such as rockroses, ferns.
- Start: Parking next to the Valle de Iruelas campsite.
3. San Gregorio Path
- Type: Linear
- Distance: 4 km
- Difficulty: Medium
- Key points: Fountain on the way, La Yedra gorge.
- Start: At km 3 of the forest track to El Tiemblo.
4. Botanical Path
- Type: Linear
- Distance: 1 km (one way)
- Difficulty: Low
- Key points: Variety of trees and bushes, the route has information panels.
- Start: Parking next to the Valle de Iruelas Campsite.
5. Chestnut Grove of Tiemblo Trail
- Type: Circular
- Distance: 4.5 km
- Difficulty: Low
- Key points: Beautiful groves, centenary chestnut trees.
- Start: Recreation Area "El Regajo", in Castañar (1.092m)
6. Path of the Well of the Snow
- Type: Circular
- Distance: 8.7 km
- Difficulty: Low
- Key points: Reforestation pine forest, Pozo de la Nieve, Cerro de las Casillas.
- Starting point: Puerto de Casillas
7. Escusa Hill Trail
- Type: Linear
- Distance: 12 km
- Difficulty: High
- Key points: Praderas del Sol, Erizón.
- Start: Puerto de Casillas
Recommendations for hikers
- Respect the signage (PR-AV xx trail).
- Avoid leaving the paths to protect the flora and fauna.
- Bring water, appropriate footwear and binoculars for bird watching.
- Consult the status of the routes at the Park House (snow or rainy season).
