The Chozonez Sabineros are medieval constructions strategically nestled on hills and mounds. Discover the Chozón-Museo de Ablanque, where a gentle stroll takes you to a restored circular chozón. These constructions, dating from the Middle Ages, are distributed in clusters as seasonal settlements. Strategically located on the moorlands, on hills and mounds with good defense, water and nearby pastures, these huts are witnesses of the past and rural life of the region.
Although their exact origin is lost in time due to the lack of written records, their legacy endures as an integral part of the landscape and culture of the Upper Tagus.
