The Vía de la Plata, an ancient Roman road, is an itinerary of historical and tourist interest that connects the cities of Mérida and Astorga. Along its route, you can visit towns such as Oliva de Plasencia and Guijo de Granadilla, and enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of the region.
The Vía Verde de la Plata is another unmissable destination. Built on an old 19th century railroad, this route offers a smooth and accessible route for walking and cycling. Along the way, you can see railway elements such as traffic lights and stations, and visit towns such as Oliva de Plasencia, Villar de Plasencia and Jarilla.
The Mozarabic Way is a medieval pilgrimage route that crosses the region of Las Hurdes and Trasierra-Tierras de Granadilla. You can do part of this route through the hiking route SL-CC 222, which will take you through stunning natural and cultural landscapes.
