Following in the footsteps of the cultures that inhabited the Ambroz region
The Ambroz Valley is the natural crossing point between Extremadura and Castilla y León. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as attested by cave paintings in some villages, and later most of the cultures that set foot on the Iberian Peninsula left their mark.
We recommend you to follow the footsteps of the Celtic tribe of Los Vetones in Segura de Toro, or review the Roman footprint in the surroundings of the Via de la Plata road as it passes through Aldeanueva del Camino. And of course to know the important Hebrew legacy in the Jewish Quarter of Hervás, founding member of the Network of Jewish Quarters of Sepharad. You can do it with a tour guide, or follow one of the marked routes.
