Our ecotourism commitment:

At Bodegas Muñana, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and local development. Here are some of our best practices:

- We replant native species on the estate and in the surrounding area, such as holm oaks, strawberry trees, and cherry trees, with the aim of promoting soil regeneration.

- We have solar panels that allow us to significantly reduce the winery’s carbon footprint and power the pumping system for the irrigation ponds.

We work without using pesticides, ensuring a more natural and environmentally friendly cultivation process.

Discover high-altitude wines in the heart of the Geopark

During this experience at Bodegas Muñana, you’ll discover how wine can express the unique character of the Granada Geopark. Located at an altitude of over 1,200 meters, the vineyards thrive in challenging conditions that lend freshness, intensity, and a distinct personality to their wines.

The tour begins in the vineyard, where you’ll learn how altitude, climate, and soil directly influence the quality of the grapes. From here, we’ll introduce the context of the Geopark, helping you interpret the landscape and understand the origin of these wines.

Throughout the tour of the winery, guided by (Nazaret or Cristóbal)—locals and team members who know the process firsthand—you’ll discover how the wines are made step by step: fermentation, bottling, and labeling, in a meticulous production process closely tied to the environment.

The experience concludes with a tasting of two red wines and one white, where you’ll be able to identify on the palate the characteristics imparted by the altitude: balanced wines with good acidity and great aromatic expression. The tasting is accompanied by local products such as cured meats, cheeses, and traditional bread, reinforcing the connection to the region.

A way to get closer to wine from its source, understanding how landscape, climate, and people are reflected in every glass.
