Aceites Cazorla SCA is a cooperative founded in 1951 and olive growing reference in the region of the Sierra de Cazorla. The visit begins with a walk among olive trees where you will learn about the responsible cultivation, the importance of the olive grove in the landscape and in the local economy, and the role of the cooperative as a meeting point for farmers and neighbors.
The tour continues through the modern olive mill, the cellars and the reception courtyard, where it is explained how the olives are classified according to their quality and how they are transformed into extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality with Protected Designation of Origin Sierra de Cazorla.
The experience includes a visit to a museum that recreates a historic oil mill from the first half of the 20th century, preserved in detail to show the evolution of oil production. Finally, there is a guided sensory tasting of different varieties of EVOO, learning to distinguish nuances of aroma and flavor and understanding why this product is key to the local gastronomic culture.
