At Los Chozos del Geoparque, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and local development in Carrascalejo, within the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara UNESCO Global Geopark and along the historic Camino Real to Guadalupe. Our accommodation consists of three stone huts inspired by traditional shepherds' shelters, offering double rooms and small apartments surrounded by nature, on the outskirts of the village and overlooking the geopark's geological landscapes.
1. Traditional Architecture Integrated into the Geopark
The huts update the area's typical pastoral architecture, with slate walls and traditional roofs that blend into the landscape and keep alive the memory of the shelters once used by shepherds for sheep and goats. Being located within the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara Geopark allows our guests to explore geosites, viewpoints, and marked trails that highlight the geology, flora, and fauna of this UNESCO-recognized area. Our location on the Camino Real to Guadalupe makes it easy to walk or cycle the last few kilometers to the monastery, promoting slow travel and low-impact tourism.
2. Nature, tranquility, and the local economy
The complex is surrounded by native vegetation and species, with a garden, outdoor pool, and barbecue area, offering a peaceful setting for multi-day stays in direct contact with nature. As a small accommodation with rooms and apartments for 2–4 people, we support local tourism that utilizes the services of the nearby town of Carrascalejo and other villages within the geopark, contributing to their economy year-round.

Set in a natural environment on the outskirts of the municipality of Carrascalejo, you will find this wonderful rural tourist complex. A unique place where you will find three slate huts to stay in. Each hut is divided into four rooms, which are independent of each other (with no internal communication), with their own door to the outside and their own bathroom. Comfortable and equipped with everything guests may need. As these accommodation units are double rooms for families, one of the huts is divided into two accommodation units, each with a bedroom with a double bed and another room with a sofa bed and kitchen.
Located within the UNESCO Villuercas Ibores Jara Global Geopark, this accommodation is also on the Camino Real a Guadalupe, being the penultimate municipality before reaching the Royal Monastery of Guadalupe.
An area of breathtaking views in a natural environment of significant importance in terms of its formations, orography, and geodesy, which led to it becoming part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
