You choose us, and we choose you?
Our Biosphere Reserve occupies the entire territory, therefore, if you come to La Palma, you are necessarily entering our Biosphere Reserve. So welcome!
As soon as you arrive, you will realize that the landscape and our natural heritage is impressive, but you will also see that it is a space where human life has an important role.
Where there is commerce, and traditional activities are intermingled with activities of all kinds, typical of urban areas, which may be small towns like Santa Cruz de La Palma and Los Llanos de Aridane, but which continue to keep their history alive, and where people meet and greet each other in the street, more similar to the life of the villages.
When you visit the rural areas, you will see that traditions are close at hand and there is a calmness that pervades everything.
A stone's throw from anywhere there is something to see or visit that is of interest, archaeological sites, protected areas, a viewpoint, a center or museum, or a place to eat richly and without haste, local markets, very authentic where the producer or artisan sells his work with humility and much truth. Do not hesitate to ask about their work, because they are part of the living heritage.
We recommend that you try new dishes and local products that you do not know, that you let yourself be advised by those who know best, who is who attends you at all times; that if you have doubts, look for information points nearby; that you do activities that you do not usually do where you live, or that you do those that you love and are your forte, but let yourself go, and live a unique experience, which will have the rhythm that you want to give it: Relaxed and "enjoy", or take it all with you, reaching the top and reaching the coast; investigate the depths of the volcanic tubes, or touch the sky in the Roque de Los muchachos (the highest point of the island with 2420m.); practice canyoning, mountain biking, paragliding, kitesurfing, sailing to see marine fauna in one of the most privileged places for whale watching... But savor your time here, because all these sensations are your album of memories of your stay in La Palma.
