We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
At Aceitolivex – Almazara de Alcorneo, we understand that the quality of olive oil is closely linked to the preservation of the land where it is produced. As one of the oldest olive oil mills in Extremadura and a fourth-generation family business, we work to preserve traditional olive groves, promote more sustainable agriculture, and introduce visitors to olive oil culture and its connection to the landscape of the International Tagus region.
?- We are committed to preserving traditional olive groves and are currently transitioning to organic production.
?- We implement energy-saving and efficiency measures using machinery designed to optimize water and energy consumption, LED lighting, programmed drip irrigation, and water-regulating systems.??
- We implement circular economy practices by making use of byproducts from our operations: olive pits are reused as biomass and animal feed, while the leaves are used to feed sheep.
- We promote the responsible use of natural resources by using firewood from dry holm oaks to meet certain energy needs.?
?
- We promote the “Sponsor an Olive Tree” program, a conservation initiative that contributes to the preservation of the traditional olive groves in the Tajo International National Park and the Tajo-Tejo International Biosphere Reserve.??
- We are committed to women’s entrepreneurship and the active participation of women in rural development, taking part in initiatives that support entrepreneurship among rural women.

Can you imagine having an olive tree to return to, watching it grow, and knowing that you’re helping to preserve a landscape full of life and history? In the heart of the International Tagus region, we invite you to enjoy an experience that goes far beyond simply planting a tree.
By sponsoring an olive tree, you’ll forge a special bond with this land, its traditions, and the people who keep the olive grove alive, becoming part of an initiative dedicated to preserving the region’s natural and agricultural heritage.
During your visit to the olive grove, you’ll learn about the role olive trees play in soil conservation, maintaining biodiversity, and carbon sequestration.
You’ll have the opportunity to plant your own olive tree and help care for it, contributing to the preservation of an agricultural landscape closely tied to the region’s history and traditions.
But the experience doesn’t end with the visit. For one year, you’ll be able to follow the growth of your olive tree, receive photos, locate it using GPS coordinates, and return to visit it whenever you wish.
You’ll also receive a sponsorship certificate and the olive oil produced from your tree, thus establishing a direct link between the olive grove and one of its most iconic products. In the event there is no harvest, an estimated average yield for a young olive tree will be used: approximately 5 liters of oil (about 35 kg of olives).
A participatory ecotourism experience that allows you to discover the International Tagus from a different perspective, involving you in the care of its landscape and helping to preserve its natural and agricultural heritage for future generations.
