We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
- Environmental Education and Conservation: During all activities, educational information is provided on local flora and fauna, as well as on conservation efforts in the Parque Nacional das Illas Atlánticas. The objective is to sensitize participants to the importance of protecting ecosystems and promoting practices that minimize human impact.
- Sustainable Use of Resources: Kayaks and other equipment that are environmentally friendly and non-invasive to the environment are used. In addition, the program promotes the use of bicycles as a means of transportation to explore larger areas without carbon emissions, thus supporting sustainable mobility.
- Participation in Local Conservation: Through the shellfish workshop, sustainable shellfish harvesting is taught and practiced, which not only helps to maintain a healthy population of marine species but also supports the local economies that depend on these traditional practices.
- Minimizing Environmental Impact: The program is conducted in small groups to reduce environmental impact and ensure a more personalized and conscious experience. Both kayaking and biking routes are carefully planned to avoid sensitive areas and reduce erosion and other negative impacts.
- Ecotourism Promotion: "Cantos do Mar de Cortegada" is promoted as an ecotourism experience, highlighting the value of sustainability and conservation in all communication and promotional material, thus encouraging demand for responsible and educational tourism.
- These commitments reflect Piragüilla Ocio y Aventura's dedication to ecotourism and environmental conservation, ensuring that "Cantos do Mar de Cortegada" is not only a memorable experience, but also a model of how tourism can contribute positively to the natural environment and local communities...
