Discovered at the end of the 19th century, the Gruta de las Maravillas was the first tourist cave open to the public in Spain. This happened in 1914, and since then, this treasure of nature has not ceased to amaze everyone who discovers it.
It is a subway landscape of great beauty, formed by time with elements as simple as water and stone.
The great extension of its lakes, the abundance and variety of formations, and the length of its development make of this subway complex a set of great beauty and showiness.
The Gruta de las Maravillas is open all year round except on December 24, 25, 31, 1 and 6 January. For conservation reasons, the entrance is limited to a maximum of 1000 people per day.
The tour, which lasts one hour, is conducted in guided groups with a minimum and maximum number of people that are formed at the ticket office, with an approximate duration of 45 minutes. It is advisable to purchase tickets in advance and online:
