Observation of the night sky:
In 2019 the park obtained the Starlight certification that identifies the places where you can observe the sky with quality. Stars, planets, and other celestial bodies and a whole culture of legends and stories that can tell you. Spectacular events such as the star shower or eclipses add to this activity making it unique.
Spring, breeding season:
Talking songs, flights that watch, continuous feeding, everything is movement. A very delicate moment for the fauna that we must respect rigorously. The presence of seagulls and their nests may surprise us on the way, and only in the distance we will be able to witness this endearing moment.
Flowering time
These islands, so exposed to the ocean, have their own rhythm and each species knows which is the best time to survive and make its way. In spring, summer, autumn or winter the islands change their flora, change their color. And among them there will be butterflies looking for their perfect plant.
The sea burns
This marine phenomenon, also known as "ardora", will show you lights in the water when the Noctiluca (marine microscopic animal) abounds and activates in the sea producing light. Unforgettable.
Popular culture
Each island had its own history, although all shared similar moments, and in each one you will find different stories that marked the lives of its inhabitants. Cova do mouros, Buraco do Inferno, La sirena de Sálvora, Ermita de los milagros... places that evoke legends and beliefs of the inhabitants of the islands.
