Park house located on the northern slope of the park
In the Sierra de Gredos Regional Park there are two park houses that serve as points of attention for visitors, offering all the necessary information regarding the park and helping to plan the different activities that are available.
Customer service area
A welcoming space where a monitor informs about different aspects of the Regional Park and helps you plan your visit.
In the visitor's corner you can sit comfortably and consult a map. In addition, you can watch some films that summarize the main values of the Park, and also buy books and objects related to the Network of Natural Spaces of Castilla y León. A calendar of activities informs you about the main festivals and events and, if you want to leave your impressions, you have a guestbook and a suggestion box.
Get to know the park
A place to obtain information about the general characteristics of the Regional Park. Photographs, illustrations, models and models make up an entertaining and interesting information space.
On a computer you can interactively access the data of the Sierra that most interest you. And there are also other modules in which you have to participate to get the information, such as a system that allows you to find out how much it rains on each of the slopes of the Sierra, or tubes through which you can hear stories of famous hikers and hunters.
Live and Streaming
Get to know on the ground the wonderful panoramic views of the Sierra. To do this you have a camera located on top of a summit, which you will direct remotely from this house of the park, being able to move 360 ° and operate the zoom to get close-ups of detail. You also have information to identify the peaks, forests and other elements of the landscape.
And if you are lucky, you can observe calmly, without fear of scaring them, some animals, such as goats or large birds of prey.
History in stone
This audiovisual will help you understand the long geological history of the massif. When and how the granite that predominates in Gredos was formed and especially highlights the importance of glaciers in the current configuration of the landscape.
Viewpoint of the gredos mountain range
In the attic of the house you will find a model to situate you and to be able to recognize each of the most interesting points of the Regional Park. There are several panoramic views of the two sides of the mountain range and a set of mirrors that allow you to see the mountain.
