Our ecotourism commitment:

At Agromarketing, we work to bring people closer to the origins of their food, the agricultural landscape, and rural traditions through authentic experiences linked to the agri-food sector. Our commitment is rooted in highlighting the value of farm work, local products, and the connection between the land, agriculture, and culture.

- We design interpretive agri-experiences that offer an up-close look at traditional crops such as citrus and stone fruits, fostering a sensory and educational connection with the region.

- We work alongside local producers and businesses, helping to raise the profile of the primary sector and promoting the local economy.

- During our activities, we explain traditional and sustainable agricultural practices, such as water conservation and drip irrigation systems, raising awareness about the importance of responsibly managing water resources.

- Our activities aim to create a direct connection between visitors and those who produce food, helping to foster an understanding of the social, cultural, and scenic value of traditional agriculture.

Fragrances, orchards, and Moorish landscapes along the Segura River

On this tour, you’ll discover the Ricote Valley through its agricultural landscapes, its scents, and the history of a traditional orchard that has been linked to the Segura River for centuries. Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy the orange blossom season or the lemon harvest, two unique times of year that transform this region and fill it with color and fragrance.

The experience combines car rides and short walks through some of the valley’s most iconic spots, passing through Moorish orchards, viewpoints, and ancient irrigation systems that are still in use today.

Along the route, you’ll visit places like the Mirador del Trasvase, La Asomá, or the Salto de la Novia site, enjoying sweeping views of the valley’s agricultural and mountainous landscape.

One of the most special moments is the visit to the Huerta de Macu, a traditional citrus orchard where you’ll learn about the cultivation techniques and the historic irrigation system that has kept the orchard alive for generations. The tour continues among century-old lemon trees near the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Huertas and the historic center of Ojós, revealing the close relationship between culture, agriculture, and landscape.

The experience also highlights local cuisine, offering the chance to sample traditional products like the classic bizcocho borracho and round out the day with a picnic lunch or an optional meal at a local restaurant. Additionally, each participant will receive a kilo of lemons as a souvenir of this immersion in the orchards of the Ricote Valley.
