Walking along easy and accessible routes
The route starts at the Puerto del Pico and ends at the Alto de la Centenera, it can be done in both directions. This route keeps wild pines that survived the fire that occurred in June 2009, you can also see pines resineros in these landscapes.

The trail starts at the parking lot of the Casa del Parque El Risquillo located in the town of Guisando, the parking lot has reserved spaces for people with disabilities and adapted toilets in the Casa del Parque. The route is done on a wooden walkway to avoid difficulties due to the terrain. The trail runs through a pine forest of resin pine, predominant on the southern slopes of Gredos where you can observe the traditional terraces of the area and end your adventure in the garden of the Casa del Parque.

The path runs under a mature pine forest of Scots pine or Scots pine, which are easy to identify by their orange color. Some of these pines are more than a century old. The trail begins on the platform at 1,760 m. altitude, with a continuous ascent, and some sections of steep slope, to Los Barrerones and then descend to the lagoon.
