The most spectacular viewpoints are in the highlands of the island, the roads are very well preserved and signposted so driving there is not difficult. An example is the area of the Roques, imposing stone masses that emerged from the interior of the earth, these geological monuments are the protagonists of the landscape and were considered sacred by the Gomeran aborigines, often you can see cascades of fog rushing down the slopes, a special phenomenon thanks to the trade winds. Mirador del Santo

In the village of Arure, bounded between two imposing reliefs, it quietly disappears to flow into the sea. Numerous springs and fountains impregnate this picturesque ravine with green. This viewpoint, with its exclusive views of Taguluche, is special for observing both the sunsets over the sea and the infinite number of stars that can be seen thanks to the clear skies that the island offers. In the evening hours you can hear the bells of the goats on their way back walking among the impossible verticality of the slopes.

Viewpoint of César Manrique

New descriptionThis viewpoint is the work of the Canarian artist César Manrique, it shows a spectacular view of the ravine of Valle Gran Rey. The filtered waters irrigate the whole valley allowing the cultivation in terraces and it is an ideal place to see the numerous palm trees that dot the landscape characteristic of the area.

In this viewpoint, located at the highest point of La Gomera, you can see, thanks to its 360 degree panoramic view and its more than 1480 m high, the magnitude of the beauty of the island. On clear days you can clearly see the other islands of the Canary archipelago as a backdrop.ancient place of worship of the pre-Hispanic settlers who chose the most symbolic places of the island as evidenced by the various remains found in the area.

Mirador de Abrante

Located at 625 meters above sea level, above the municipality of Agulo, this viewpoint with its glass structure arranged like a balcony gives, on clear days, views of the neighboring island of exceptional beauty. And if it has rained in the high area of the island, you may be able to contemplate spectacular waterfalls: the waterfalls of La Vica, El Chorro and La Zula.
