We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
At Abora Expeditions, we travel with purpose. We work to regenerate the place we love and protect its essence. By joining Abora, you will not only discover the beauty and uniqueness of a territory declared a Biosphere Reserve, but we will also reveal to you, in an intimate and respectful way, the communities that inhabit it.
Here you are part of its living history: you participate in its traditions, understand its deep relationship with nature, and discover how they protect this fragile and extraordinary territory.
Traveling with Abora is not just about getting from one place to another. It's about belonging.
Our commitment:
1. Local wealth that lasts.
Explore at a leisurely pace, connecting with the territory. Accommodations, producers, artisans, and small families who sustain life on the island are your guides. The economy we generate stays here, strengthening those who care for the legacy day after day.
2. Conservation, science, and knowledge within the traveler's reach.
Collaborate on conservation projects led by scientists, we accompany you to understand the uniqueness of the territory and we allocate part of each expedition to initiatives such as the protection of endemic species, the restoration of traditional trails, or citizen science programs in conjunction with local research centers.
3. Regenerative tourism with a real and measurable positive impact.
We believe in our philosophy and measure our results. Be part of experiences that leave roots instead of footprints. Each expedition is designed to teach you to discover and love the territory because, as Jacques Cousteau said, "you only protect what you love, and you only love what you know."
Abora shows you La Palma.

Welcome to La Palma.
We will accompany you to your accommodation in the heart of the island, where nature and silence set the pace.
- On the first day, we will hold a welcome briefing where we will explain the day-to-day details of your trip: we will introduce the expedition, the diving club leading the dives, and the purpose behind each spot. This is a first meeting to open the circle and align expectations.
- Day 2 Two dives in the morning.
First contact with the deep waters of La Palma: submerged basalt, volcanic gardens, life in suspension.
- Day 3 Two dives in the morning.
A natural progression to continue discovering the island's marine sanctuaries.
- Day 4 Mid-morning excursion to explore the island from land, understand its geology, history, and natural pulse.
At night, night dive: the ocean at its most alive.
- Day 5 Two dives in the morning.
We close the marine cycle with new locations, seeking contrasts: caves, waterfalls, and flora and fauna among volcanic columns.
- Day 6 Full-day excursion to the heart of La Palma. A dive into the island's history from land, its landscapes, volcanoes, and the processes that shaped this natural laboratory unique in the world, enjoying its cuisine and its people.
Recap of experiences and transfer to the airport. The expedition ends here, but the way you see the world will have changed.
La Palma is a living territory, shaped by volcanoes, clouds that move like inland seas, and skies that change every moment. Its waters open up to the ocean and the currents change capriciously. We want you to have an authentic experience, so some activities and locations may be adapted on a daily basis depending on the light, the weather, and the rhythm of the island.
At Abora Expeditions, we believe in traveling with purpose and with nature, not against it. We read the territory in real time and map out the best possible route at any given moment to ensure a safe, authentic, and deeply connected experience.
We invite you to explore and embrace the unexpected as part of the magic of the journey with our experts. Because for us, every change is an opportunity to see, feel, and understand the island in a more intimate way.
