At Apartamentos Río Sil we are committed to the conservation of biodiversity and local development in Sober, in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra. Our accommodation occupies a century-old masonry stone house lovingly rehabilitated, in a privileged enclave above the Sil Valley and within the Ribeira Sacra, Serras do Oribio and Courel Biosphere Reserve.
1. Water and energy savingsWe apply water saving and energy efficiency measures in the apartments, with zone heating, dual flush cisterns, LED light bulbs, faucet aerators and double-glazed windows.?In addition, we track consumption through invoices and use scheduled irrigation to reduce water use.
2. Conservation of the environment We organize annual cleaning and conservation days of the environment and collaborate in the opening and maintenance of routes in the forest, contributing to the care of the natural landscape of the Ribeira Sacra.?We are also part of the Montes de Volvente Community and collaborate on thematic sessions with local associations, such as those dedicated to mushrooms.
3. Dissemination of the destination We provide our guests with information materials about the destination and the protected area, such as the Ribeira Sacra tourist guide, the hiking guide, maps, viewpoints and the Sober wine route.?In addition, we send these materials before arrival or at check-in, and we offer a manual of good practices for responsible and sustainable tourism in Ribeira Sacra.
4. Local development We prioritize local service providers and work with companies in the area so that the positive impact of tourism benefits the greatest number of families possible.?We also recommend that our clients visit cheese factories, wineries, potteries and guided activity companies with an ecotourist profile, including accredited proposals such as Mais que Románico.

SPECIFIC RESERVATION TERMS FOR RIO SIL APARTMENTS: S.C.R. The Centralized Reservation System will facilitate your reservation and its confirmation provided that all requirements are fully met. Reservations made will be confirmed by the establishment once the corresponding payment has been received. Until such confirmation, the reservation will be considered a pre-reservation.
VALIDITY: This pre-reservation is valid for twenty-four hours from the date it is made. Once the deposit amount is paid, it will automatically become a reservation. If this deposit payment requirement is not met, the pre-reservation will be automatically canceled, thereby releasing the apartment or apartments for new customers.
Deposit: 50% of the total price of the reserved stay must be paid within twenty-four hours. Once the advance payment is received, the customer will be notified of the reservation confirmation, specifying the following details: check-in and check-out dates, number of reserved units, and total price.
APARTMENT ASSIGNMENT: The final assignment of the apartment or apartments will take place at check-in, which begins at 5:00 PM.
CANCELLATION POLICY: At any time, the user may cancel the contracted services and is entitled to a refund of any amounts paid, subject to compensation to the establishment in the amounts indicated below: the amount of compensation will be calculated by applying the following percentages to the amount of the requested deposit: 20% if the cancellation is requested more than 30 days in advance. 80% if the cancellation is requested less than 30 days but more than 25 days in advance. 100% if made 25 days or fewer in advance. The reservation will be held until 8:00 PM on the day listed as the arrival date. If the guest does not arrive and there is no confirmation via any means (phone, email) by 8:00 PM, the establishment may make the reserved apartment(s) available to others. Once the apartment is occupied, the full amount for the reserved stay will be charged.
DATA PROTECTION: In accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law on the Regulation of the Automated Processing of Personal Data (LORTAD), the data you enter during the booking process will be incorporated into an automated file owned by the owner of the reserved accommodation. Your data will be used and processed for management and promotional purposes by the Accommodation, and appropriate measures have been established to protect its confidentiality.
