Ardea Purpurea

At Ardea Purpurea, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and local development in Villamanrique de la Condesa, within the Doñana Natural Area. Our resort is integrated into nature and combines accommodation, dining, and activities with a way of working closely linked to the land, the local economy, and sustainable tourism.

1. Connection with Doñana
We are located within the area covered by the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism of the Doñana Natural Area and participate in the Sustainable Tourism Forum of the protected area. We also offer maps, brochures, and interpretive materials about the surrounding area, along with a viewpoint for observing the flora and fauna of the lagoon on our property.

2. Environmental Management
We implement energy-saving and efficiency measures such as LED lighting, renewable energy through solar panels, low-consumption irrigation systems, and environmental signage in rooms and bathrooms. We also recycle glass and oil, use eco-friendly dispensers to replace single-use plastics, and provide staff training on responsible water and electricity consumption and recycling.

3. Conservation and Heritage
Our accommodation has been built using materials and an aesthetic typical of the Doñana marshlands, such as wood, esparto grass, and wrought iron, blending seamlessly into the landscape. Furthermore, we participate in heritage restoration projects in Villamanrique de la Condesa and promote environmental conservation through activities and experiences connected to the local area.

4. Local Development
We work with legally registered and authorized companies within the protected natural area, and 90% of our supplies come from local providers. We also sell local products, employ local staff, and support social and cultural initiatives linked to Doñana and the identity of Villamanrique.
