At Casa Los Hondos, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and promoting local development on the island of La Palma. Our main initiatives include:

- Locating the house in the northern municipality of Villa de Garafía, a region committed to sustainability through community composting, combating invasive species, restoring almond orchards, and preventing forest fires.
- Access to the house is via a short footpath, adding a special appeal for those seeking tranquility, relaxation, and direct contact with nature.

Casa Los Hondos is situated in Santo Domingo, the main village of Garafía, at some 300m above sea level, off a major track. This cottage has the added privilege of being located in a genuine rural atmosphere that neverthless finds itself very close - only a 10 minute walk to the restaurants, medical services, public transport, etnographic museum and the well conserved historical town centre. It is ideal for two people looking for an alternative holiday, immersed in a rural environment. From the house itself and from its yards one can enjoy splendid sunsets, unforgettable on this side of the Canaries. You only can reach the house walking on a small path 75 m. long.
The municipality where this house is located gives its name to a new planet called "Garafía-1", discovered in 2006 from the Observatory of Roque de Los Muchachos.
Booking conditions

2.- Please make sure your name and reservation number appears on the bank transfer.
3.- Please ensure your deposit is paid before the deadline or your booking may be cancelled.
4.- Cancellation fees will be charged as follows: 25% of the deposit if cancelled more than 15 days before the agreed date of arrival. 50% of the deposit for cancellations made between 7 and 15 days before the agreed arrival date. 75% of the deposit for cancellations made between 6 and 4 days before the agreed arrival date. 100% if cancellation occurs within 4 days of the agreed arrival date.
5.- Should clients leave before the agreed departure date they will not have the right to claim any monies back. Should more people arrive than the booking has been made for the owner of the property reserves the right either to refuse entrance to the extra person/people or charge a supplement for the corresponding number of people.
Please arrange with our office the time and meeting point that you would like to use when meeting the owner of the house.
