At Reitoral de Chandrexa, we are deeply committed to biodiversity conservation and local development in the Ribeira Sacra, a region that is part of the Biosphere Reserve and the Oribio and Courel Mountain Systems. Since the beginning of our activity, we have implemented several actions that promote sustainability and respect for the natural environment. Among the main initiatives are:- The rehabilitation of our establishment has been carried out following bio-construction criteria, using natural materials and sustainable techniques that minimize environmental impact and maximize energy efficiency.- We practice organic agriculture, cultivating vegetable gardens, fruit trees of native varieties, as well as wine, chestnuts, nuts and canned vegetables. All our products are grown without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, contributing to the health of the soil and local biodiversity. The food we offer in our dining room comes mostly from our own organic agriculture or from local producers who follow sustainable practices. In this way, we not only support the local economy, but also guarantee the quality and freshness of what we serve to our guests.- We learn from our elderly neighbors the traditional uses of the territory, ways of conservation and exploitation of local resources, which allows us to share this knowledge with our visitors and contribute to the preservation of local customs. We have extensive knowledge about the fauna and flora of the region, which allows us to offer our guests an educational and enriching experience, guiding them in the discovery of the biodiversity of the Ribeira Sacra - We consider ourselves custodians of the territory, ensuring its conservation and sustainable development. We actively collaborate with local rural and conservationist associations, as well as with tourism entrepreneurs that promote sustainability in the area. We guide activities such as the Forest Baths in the natural environment of the house, promoting the connection with nature and the mental and physical health of our visitors. Since the beginning of our activity, we belong to the CERES-ECOTUR network, which certifies our commitment to sustainable tourism.

This old rectory, set in unspoilt countryside by the river Sil canyon is restored sympathetically and comfortably, respecting its original character. We live here, cultivating our organic vegetable garden & keeping sheep, chickens and our donkey. We can offer you varied menus (including vegetarian), wich include seasonal vegetables freshy picked from the garden, as well as our bread and wine, made in the traditional way.

RESERVATION CONDITIONS - S.C.R. The Centralized Reservation System will facilitate your reservation and its confirmation as long as the requirements are fully complied with. The reservations made will be confirmed by the owner of the establishment, it will be considered as a pre-reservation until such confirmation. The Centralized system establishes a bilateral communication between the user and the owner of the establishment regulated by the Decree 120/1998 of October 6, of October 6, of Arrangement of the Tourist Accommodation in the Rural Environment, of the Council of Environment, Urbanism and Tourism, reformed by Decree 4/2000 of February 25, establishing the different rights and duties on arrangement of prices, reservations and complementary services. The pre-reservation has a term of three days counted from the date on which the request for a place is made. Once the amount of the advance payment has been paid, it becomes a reservation directly, offering the user an identification number (Locator) that will allow him to enter directly into his reservation, to modify or cancel it. *In case of not fulfilling this requirement of payment of advance the pre-reservation disappears releasing with it the room or rooms for new clients. Advance payment When a reservation is made in a rural lodging, the percentage indicated by the owner of the total price of the reserved stay must be paid. Once received the amount corresponding to the advance, the owner will communicate to the client the confirmation of the reservation specifying the following concepts: day of entrance and exit, number of reserved places, number of rooms and total price, as well as the applicable regime in the case of the possible cancellation. Cancellations At any time the user may cancel the contracted services having the right to a refund of the amounts paid and compensating the establishment as to the amounts indicated below: The amount of the compensations will be the result of applying the following percentages to the amount of the required advance payment. 5% if the cancellation is made more than 30 days in advance. 40% if the cancellation is made 30 or less days and more than 15 days in advance. 60% if the cancellation is made 15 or less days in advance and more than 7 days in advance. 100% if the cancellation is made 7 or less days in advance. Reservation Confirmation . Once the advance payment requirements have been met, your reservation will be held until 8:00 p.m. on the day that appears on your reservation as the date of arrival. If the arrival of the client does not occur and there is no communication for confirmation by any means (phone, email, fax) from 20:00 hours the owner may dispose of the room or rooms reserved. *The Centralized Reservation System gives the possibility of booking online and offline and may in some cases cause overbooking, in this case will give priority to reservations from the management block.
