Ecotourism and Flora and Fauna Watching
<p>Ecoturing consists of a guided tour to discover Sierra Madrona, the best preserved forests of Sierra Morena. The guided route includes a photo safari to observe its fauna and interpret the landscapes, forests, rock art and the night sky of Sierra Madrona.<br><br>The madroño in autumn, red fruits of exquisite taste. Sierra Madrona houses in its interior a multitude of natural values of incalculable value, not only the fauna that inhabits it is interesting, under its arboreal mantle hides innumerable botanical curiosities.<br><br>Activity package for a weekend trip<br>Day 1 (Friday):<br>1. Arrival and reception.<br>2. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel in Sierra Madrona.<br>3. Additional activity (optional, subject to availability): Thermal bath of 30 minutes in the Baths of Fuencaliente (available from April to December).<br><br>Day 2 (Saturday):<br>1. Excursion from Fuencaliente to Solana del Pino.<br>2. Additional activity (optional, subject to availability): Photographic safari "Berrea y más” (in 4x4, reservations required).<br>3. Wildlife observation. Walking tour to collect seasonal fruits (madroño) and observation of Mediterranean flora (4 hours).<br>4. Traditional lunch at the local restaurant "Anka Loren".<br>5. Visit to Embutidos Artesanos El Lucero (demonstration and tasting workshop).<br>6. Evening stargazing - Starlight viewpoint (guided tour of 2 hours).<br><br>Day 3 (Sunday):<br>1. Landscape route through Sierra Madrona and Solana del Pino.<br>2. Guided visit to the “Pinturas rupestres el Peñón del Águila” (1 hour).<br>3. Bath of oak and art therapy workshop (healing in nature).<br>4. Workshop on the elaboration of preserves and jams (including blackberry chutney, 2 hours).<br>5. This exciting adventure will take you to explore the deep Nafresno Valley, where we will travel along ancient paths, streams and orchards in an environment full of biodiversity. Through captivating narrations of Don Quixote, we will travel back in time to learn about the natural resources that have been a cornerstone for the inhabitants of these lands.<br><br>During the visit, we will explore the mines of Solana del Pino, Mina la Nava, where we will unveil its fascinating geological history. We will identify the volcanic alternations of the Silá rico and marvel at the spectacular quartz ridges that surround Solana del Pino. <p>Discover the impressive Natural Monument of the Volcanic Lagoon "La Alberquilla", an exclusive volcanic outcrop characterized by its hydromagmatic explosion crater, forming a unique maar in the region.<br><br>In this guided tour, you will enjoy the beauty of the quartzite crests surrounding the lagoon, composed of quartzite and slate banks of the Ordovician, all in the beautiful scenery of the Sierra de Puertollano.<br><br>During the activity, we will enter the captivating environment of the pastures of the Alcudia Valley and Sierra Madrona Natural Park, where we will explore the history of the Mesta and its ancestral traditions. Flora and Fauna Observation Route (14Km)
Embark on an enchanting walk along the ecosenda of the Montoro River, a route that starts at the Flor de Ribera mill and ends at the impressive Cueva de la Hoz de Valdoro. Starting from the farmhouse Los Alamillos, this route will immerse you in an unspoiled natural environment full of life, where you can contemplate the spectacular cleft of the quartzite crest of the Sierra de la Umbría, the result of the erosion of the river.
During the activity, you will have the opportunity to explore the life cycle of the beings that inhabit the river, as well as its flora and fauna, and learn about survival techniques in extreme climates. Visit the historic Flor de Ribera Mill and the Pí's orchard, while identifying tracks and signs of wildlife, including mountain goat, deer and otter.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Sisapo, a Roman city built on impressive volcanic formations in the 1st century BC. During this activity, you will discover how the buildings adapt to the topography and morphology of Los Castillejos de la Bienvenida, a Natural Monument that has been subtly transformed by the settlers over time.
The volcanic rock, extracted from quarries in the area, was a key resource in the construction of this city, which became the main center of activity in the region. Mining and various agricultural activities that fed the socioeconomic life of the area were centralized here.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe endangered birds in the Alcudia Valley and Sierra Madrona Natural Park, such as the majestic black vulture and the imposing imperial eagle, which adds additional value to this experience.
