Between the slopes of the Peña Montañesa.

Geology hanging between skies: a route to walk on the secrets of the Pyrenees
On the southern slopes of the Peña Montañesa, majestic watchtower of Sobrarbe, two exceptional natural formations open like suspended balconies: the Faja del Toro and the Faixaneta. This route invites you to explore one of the most breathtaking and less frequented landscapes of the Central Pyrenees, from a geological, natural and respectful perspective.

- Learn to read the landscape with geological eyes.

These strips are not simple paths: they are natural platforms formed by the differential erosion of limestone strata, which tell us about a past in which tectonic collisions, ancient seas and millions of years of natural modeling sculpted the Peña Montañesa.

During the tour:

- We will discover how these hanging terraces were formed by the inclination and resistance of the rock layers.

- We will identify folds, fractures and strata games in the impressive vertical walls of the Peña.

- We will reflect on how geological time becomes visible at every step, in every cut of the mountain.

- A route for the conscious ecotourist

- Wildlife: if the silence accompanies, we will be able to observe the flight of the bearded vulture, the Griffon vulture and the agile step of the bighorn sheep.

- Adapted vegetation: we will learn how species such as the erizón, boxwood, junipers or black pines hanging in the impossible can withstand the altitude.

- Cultural landscape: from the route you can see villages such as Oncins, Torrelisa or El Pueyo de Araguás, where rural life still preserves its link with the mountain.

Geology hanging between skies: a route to walk on the secrets of the Pyrenees.

Via ferratas: where history, geology and adventure meet.

A vertical way of getting to know the mountain: history, geology and respect for the rock.
Via ferratas are much more than a vertical adventure: they are a way of reading the mountain from its walls, where human history, geology and the search for an active connection with nature intersect.
This experience invites you to ascend with full attention, exploring shapes, textures and stories anchored in the rock without leaving a trace.
The wall as a geological book

During the tour, we will observe and explain:
- Rock types through which you ascend: folded limestones, inclined strata, fractures.

- Vertical erosion and weathering processes that give rise to needles, channels and spurs.

- How the geology conditions the route of the route, the placement of clamps and the orientation of the wall.

- Reading the landscape from the heights: understanding how the valleys, reliefs and ravines visible from the via were formed.

History of via ferratas
Far from being just modern sport facilities, via ferratas have functional and historical origins:

- They are inspired by ancient routes of shepherds, charcoal makers or gatherers, who used improvised pegs and footbridges to access inaccessible places.

- Their modern name comes from the Italian "vie ferrate" of the First World War, built for the safe passage of alpine troops over steep terrain.

- Today, ferratas allow the democratization of the vertical mountain, making it accessible to more people, always with respect and appropriate training.

A model of responsible adventure

- The ferratas we use are designed to be visually integrated, respecting the aesthetics of the rock and avoiding particularly sensitive sections.

- We promote a silent, conscious and orderly use of the itinerary: no shouting, no music, no waste.

- The activity becomes an opportunity to interpret the environment, not only to overcome it.

Another way to read the mountain from its walls.

Initiation to speleology in family
Want to share an adventure with your kids? Seso Cave is ideal for the whole family.
The adventure begins by looking for the marks that lead us to the entrance. The mouth of the cave, a hidden hole, immediately leads us to a large chamber where we are left in the dark. We turn on our flashlights and discover how our path leads deeper into the earth and our eyes become accustomed to the darkness.
As we explore, our guides will show you many curious formations such as: stalactites, stalagmites, stalagmites, espeolotemas, banderoles, gours, microgours, washes, columns, ... A simple cave that can be done entirely on foot, with small fun steps in which we will go up, down, crawl, crawl, ... For once the little ones have an advantage! Who will get out cleaner?

Look at the sky and connect with the earth.

Let yourself be carried away by a unique experience in the middle of nature, where the silence of the sunset gives way to a starry sky free of light pollution. We will walk at dusk through a privileged natural environment, activating the senses to perceive the sounds, aromas and textures of the landscape while the light gradually fades.

When night falls, we will lie under the open sky to discover the stars, constellations, planets and other celestial bodies with the help of relief maps and a close, simple and entertaining explanation. The experience combines interpretation of the night sky with a deep connection with the land we walk on, in a small group and guided by local people who know the territory in detail.

Ideal for those who are looking for a sensory activity, relaxed and with content, where to reconnect with nature in an authentic way.

A cosmic getaway in Casa Marina designed for you to live an astronomical experience under the privileged sky of the National Park.

Excursion through the Barrosa Valley

The Barrosa valley is located in the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees Geopark, which is part of the UNESCO World Geoparks network.

The route will be accompanied at all times by a qualified mountain guide, who is very knowledgeable about the region and its history.

Throughout the excursion we will make several interpretative stops at key points that will allow us to understand the geological processes that gave rise to these mountains, and how they determined man's relationship with them. The origin of the mountains of granite, slate, schist and limestone, and the formation of seams, will help us to understand the mining exploitation that took place for about 2,000 years, and especially the mining facilities of the early twentieth century, whose remains we will visit. Around one of the old shepherds' huts, nowadays transformed into a refuge for mountaineers, we will talk about the traditional life based on shepherding. In the surroundings of the glacial cirque we will travel to other times, 65,000 years ago, when ice covered these valleys and shaped them at the same time. This context will help us to learn about and reflect on climatic changes, both ancient and present.

In line with our ecotourist philosophy, in an environment that has been modified by man for thousands of years, our presence will leave only ephemeral traces, while we take with us knowledge, sensations and reflections about the mountains, a stronghold of biodiversity.

Mountain route quite accessible for all audiences.
