We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
- We are the first company of Active Tourism in Somiedo adhered to the System of Recognition of the Sustainability of Nature Tourism in the Natura 2000 Network.
- The garbage collection or the minimum expenditure of fuel in our travels are part of our work of conservation of the territory where we work and live.
- Through our interpretative routes, we value both our natural and ethnographic heritage and we spread the best way to enjoy and conserve it. We make wildlife sightings putting conservation before observation or photography and taking into account the local population to interfere as little as possible in their daily activities.
- Our commitment is especially significant with the conservation of the brown bear, the most emblematic species. In addition, we collaborate with the Park authorities by providing them with all the information we collect in our activities about the individuals we encounter and interesting details.
- We denounce illegal activities related to conservation within the Park, such as disturbance of the bears by visitors.

In Somiedo Experience we will teach you about the habits, behavior and conservation of the Cantabrian Brown Bear in its incredible natural habitat, inside the Natural Park of Somiedo, while you enjoy a walk through beautiful trails where the plant and other wildlife walk.
We also want you to become aware of the values and the biological richness of this natural space, how important are the conservation work with which we collaborate, and how thanks to them the brown bear is still alive; How thanks to them the brown bear is managing to survive in the mountains and increase its population during these last years.
In Somiedo nothing can be planned. Everything we see will depend on the behavior of the fauna and the weather at the time.
In each outing we do about two hours of sighting with binoculars and telescopes, and an interpretive walk of another two hours.
