Our ecotourism commitment:

- We offer complementary activities and guided routes of revaluation and knowledge of the environment to disseminate its cultural and environmental values: Starlight observation, hiking trails, ...
- We organize camps for groups and educational centers with a clear objective of knowledge of the environment in which we find ourselves, carried out for small groups and under the coordination of professional staff,
- We carry out an exhaustive control of waste: there are no external waste garbage cans, and we have only one clean point.
- We promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies, being the first self-sustainable campsite in Galicia with the installation of a photovoltaic solar plant.
- Our facilities, built entirely of wood, are perfectly integrated with the environment, minimizing the landscape impact on the environment.
- We carry out pruning of invasive species on the surface of the campsite.
- We have designed a Decalogue of Good Environmental Practices, which we disseminate among our staff and customers.
- We collaborate with local catering companies to promote products from artisanal fishing and the environment.
- 90% of our suppliers are KM-0

Enjoy the sky of Ons Island

Visit to the National Park with a stay at the Ons Island Camping to enjoy an environment that is listed with the seal "Starlight Tourist Destination".

During this experience we will enjoy the island both day and night. In the morning there will be an interpretative route with accredited guides of the National Park to learn about its history, landscape, flora and fauna.

At noon we will have a tasting based on local gastronomy, where the protagonist will be the Octopus of Ons.

At sunset, from one of the points of the island with the best conditions for observing the sky, the Starlight activity will begin. Away from the light pollution of the city, the activity will take place, where an expert guide in astronomy will make a brief explanation about the island, the estuary and the environment that includes:

* Starlight Destination vs. Light Pollution.
* Basic knowledge of Night Orientation with the stars (e.g. learning to locate the polar star).
* Common myths and mistakes in sky observations.
* Recognition of the main constellations.
*Learn where to look in the sky to see shooting stars.
* Use of the stars for navigation.
* Astronomical events (eclipses, meteors, planetary conjunctions...) with a small workshop on night photography to capture constellations, planets and astronomical events. It is recommended to bring warm clothes, even blankets or a sleeping bag, as the temperature drops significantly at night.

That night you will spend the night at the campsite in our comfortable and fully equipped Glamping tents and the next day, after a full breakfast at the campsite cafeteria, you will have free time until the departure of the ship.
