We are committed to the environment and work towards sustainable tourism.
That is why we are taking measures in this direction. More information
At Hípica Las Minas, we are committed to conserving the Doñana environment and supporting local development, which is why we have signed on to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and the “Soy Ecoturista” initiative. To this end, we meet various sustainability requirements, some of which we would like to highlight:
To strengthen our connection with the Doñana Natural Area:
- Our staff explains and helps visitors interpret the natural environment, outlining basic guidelines for respecting and conserving nature
To reduce our environmental impact:
- We have systems in place for managing animal waste, including a space for it to air out and agreements with local companies for its removal and conversion into compost.
- All materials used on our trails and excursions are recyclable.
To support local development and heritage conservation:
- Our suppliers are local, and the supplies for our activities are produced in the surrounding area.
- We work with officials from neighboring areas to carry out wildlife conservation efforts.
- We sponsor local sports teams and other cultural organizations.

A circular horseback riding trail accompanied by a guide/instructor and a specialized support vehicle, departing from the Hípica Las Minas facilities (next to the Las Minas Aznalcázar Golf Course in Seville). A refreshing and scenic route where we can enjoy the flora and fauna
typical of the riverbanks in the Doñana Biosphere Reserve.
The route connects the town of Aznalcázar with the pilgrimage site of Vado del Quema, following the river’s course and remaining entirely within the boundaries of the Guadiamar Green Corridor Protected Landscape. The first part heads to the town of Aznalcázar, where you can visit several monuments of interest, and continues on to the Guadiamar River/Green Corridor Visitor Center, a key facility for learning about the area. From the center, you can admire the river’s course, the lush gallery forest, and an ancient Roman bridge.
The route continues toward the Guadiamar Green Corridor—the last major tributary of the Guadalquivir before it flows into the sea—and passes through the Buitrago Recreational Area, next to a beautiful lagoon formed by the river’s widening, and past the ruins of the Molino de La Patera (also known as Aceña del Rey), with its two-meter waterfall where, with a bit of luck, you can see common barbel leaping out of the water. The route crosses the intersection of the Cordel del Camino de los Playeros and the Cañada Real de los Isleños, until it reaches the Vado del Quema clearing with its shrine to the Virgin of El Rocío.
At Vado del Quema, now within the Doñana Biological Reserve, lunch is served outdoors (all-inclusive catering). In the afternoon, we’ll take the Raya de los Playeros trail to Dehesa Nueva, stopping at the campground mid-afternoon, and return through the Aznalcázar pine forests to the equestrian center.
Along the route, you can spot species such as the red-backed shrike, mallard, red-legged partridge, and blue tit, as well as the hollows that serve as refuges for bee-eaters and black kites from the nearby pine forests. The Guadiamar River is lined with dense and varied riparian vegetation that supports resident and wintering birds throughout the year.
