On this route we will walk through one of the protected natural areas of the Mariñas Coruña with the greatest ornithological richness, home to some 200 species, including the breeding and wintering season with migratory birds. During the route we will walk in the surroundings of the reservoir, with ornithological observatories and inside a small forest like the one that inspired Wenceslao Fernández Flórez to write his famous book "El bosque animado" (The animated forest).

During our walk through the Cecebre Natural Area, in the town of Abegondo, you will have the opportunity to discover a surprising diversity of birds associated with the Cecebre reservoir. Built for water supply, we will become aware of its consumption and how to be more efficient in the use of this vital liquid element.
You will be able to listen to the harmonious songs and calls of the birds, observe their varied and variegated colours. Birds as interesting as the Iberian chiffchaff, wren, osprey, great crested grebe, great egret, grey heron, great cormorant, teal, mallard and fritillary.
Enjoy a route guided by an expert in heritage interpretation who will accompany us on our journey and help us to discover the valuable bird population and human uses of the Natural Area in a fun and entertaining way.
