Discover and taste the "pajuna cow" with her cowboy Torcuato.

The pajuna cow herd is one of the singularities of the Sierra Nevada. Very few cows in the Sierra are purebred and even fewer live up to the natural and ecological pastures throughout the summer. In this activity we will visit and taste the meat of the cows of Torcuato, one of the last transhumant cowboys of the Sierra Nevada.

After meeting Torcuato at the Puerto de la Ragua we will take a walk of an hour and a half to the refuge of Las Chorreras. On the way we will discover the flora of the place and the immense landscapes of the Sierra Nevada will open before us. It is quite an experience to walk with Torcuato, who tells us stories about his cattle, his way of life, the pastures and plants of Sierra Nevada.

When we arrive at the waterfalls Torcuato summons his cows, his call is a magnet; from every corner we start to hear the cowbells of the animals that come to the voice of their owner and pass in front of our surprised eyes.
It is an exciting moment!

After having a snack of local products we go back down to the place where we left the cars, now it's time to use another sense, the taste, we go to a local restaurant that will have prepared a menu to taste the meat of this breed raised in the pastures of Sierra Nevada, a day of countryside and coexistence with local hosts luxury!
